Jonathan Adzokpe is a first degree holder from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology where he read BSc. Petroleum Engineering and made a first class, Jonathan Adzokpe got a World Bank scholarship after his national service. With the scholarship, he proceeded to University of Stavanger in Norway where he read a master’s degree programme in petroleum engineering and specialised in drilling engineering. From Norway, Jonathan came back to Ghana in July, 2014. In February, 2015, he assumed the position of a lecturer at the Department of Petroleum Engineering at KNUST. Aside being a lecturer, Jonathan is also the author of three books; The Realities of Life After School, The Realities of Life After High School, and Study Abroad. He’s also a speaker who has spoken to various youth groups on varied topics bordering on entrepreneurship, life after school, and personal financial management. Jonathan Adzokpe is the CEO and co-founder of Hetura Books; a cutting-edge publishing company based in Tema that deals in the printing, marketing and sales of books by authors in and out of Ghana.
Senam Bansah aka HYBRID grew up with a dream to become a football coach or manager. In the course of life, he found himself studying and graduating with an IT degree and working in Information Technology. However, the love for soccer has never left him and he now channels his passion into researching, analysing and writing about football . He is a strong Chelsea supporter and also has interests in entertainment. All our interesting updates on soccer will be from Senam.
Esteban Amegashiti is a humorist, public speaking aficionado, writer, creativity freak and a serial communications entrepreneur. He is a Marketing Communications practitioner by training with a MA in Marketing Communications from the University of Westminster. As a true-blooded Marcomms person, he is most passionate about finding a nexus between strategy, creativity and branding. In 10years he sees himself as Africa’s most renowned Brand Consultant, noted for championing the rise of truly global brands with indigenous African roots. Outside of his professional escapades though, he expects the brand; Esteban to be synonymous with multi-faceted creativity. He is avidly working behind the scenes to create a new breeze in Ghana’s virtually comatose stand-up comedy scene. Subsequently, he plans to make in-roads into other areas of communications and showbiz such as TV-shows, Theatre, and Creative Writing.
Irene Danquah is a public health nutritionist who believes health should be approached from a preventive angle. She is an Associate Nutritionist who started Olime Health a total health brand on a mission of enabling people choose and live healthier lifestyles. The brand advocates for an environment which encourages and supports the health and nutritional well being of people. Olime Health specializes in research, advocacy, monitoring, nutritional assessments, food security and interventions. She is our health contributor.
Fatima Ibrahim holds an HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from Accra Polytechnic where she was the president of “Women in Engineering” on campus and finished as the best student in her class. She went on to pursue a Masters degree in Communication Systems Engineering at the University of Portsmouth in the United Kingdom. Fatima worked in telecommunication/Information Technology roles for close to two years in the education sector and also the banking sector in Ghana. She also worked briefly as a marketer in the Energy sector. Outside of professional work, Fatima has a wide variety of interests in technology, entertainment, sports, politics and more.
Josephine Ofei Darko Asare-Bediako is a Finance and Management professional who believes that radical innovation and modern thinking will yield optimal solutions in the corporate world and beyond. She has 5 years of banking experience and has expertise in banking operations, retail and commercial banking, research methodology, and data analysis. Josephine holds a BSc degree in banking and finance with first class honours from the KNUST business school. She also has an MSc degree in finance and management from the University of Central Lancashire, UK where she graduated with a distinction and was adjudged as the overall best business student in her year group. She is a proud beneficiary of the Tullow Group Scholarship Scheme. In her free time, Josephine provides free consultancy and counselling services to students and young professionals. She loves cooking and singing.
Eric Kumah is the Team Lead of Newaccra Magazine. Outside of work, Eric is an avid music follower who spends his free time in the gym. With degrees in technology and business, he specializes in marketing ,training and consulting and uses an approach that is both analytical and creative. Over the next five years, Newaccra Magazine aims to become a highly credible resource for young people who are interested in developing themselves – personally, professionally and in entreprenuership.
